Salvation through Jesus ChristWho is Jesus?
A: Jesus Christ is God’s one and only son. He is also God himself. By a miracle, He was born as a man to live and be sacrificed for our sins. He did not sin while he lived on this Earth, and He is the only way to Heaven. Why do you need Jesus? A: Simply put, you need Jesus because you have broken God's moral Law. Because God is a holy, sovreign God, He has to punish everyone who breaks his laws. However, because He is gracious and merciful, He has already paid the price for your sins. Through the punishment and sacrifice of His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, your sins can be forgiven. But, you must personally ask for (and by faith) receive this sacrifice that was made for you. How do you get to Heaven? A: The only way to get to Heaven is to admit to God that you have broken His Law and ask Him to forgive you on account of the sacrifice of Jesus. The Bible says that when you believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and confess your need for His salvation, you will be saved! What’s next? A: To find out what God wants and expects from you, you’ll need to have a Bible (NKJV or NASB are very common and easy to understand). The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and is your Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (B.I.B.L.E.)! Just like we need physical food every day to stay strong, you will need to get your spiritual food by reading the Bible every day. The Bible says that it has “no private interpretation,” which means that any person of normal intelligence can read and understand it without assistance. However, to be built up and made stronger, you should attend a local Christian church that teaches the Bible so that you can learn even more from people who have been living a Christian life longer than you. We invite you to join us as we live our Christian lives together. Top of Page |
